Oktober Railways to Start Direct Service from St. Petersburg to Pskov
OREANDA-NEWS. May 19, 2008. Oktober Railways will be using diesel trains on this new direct suburban service between St. Petersburg and Pskov, which is due to begin in August 2008, reported the press-centre of Russian Railways.
The train will depart from Saint Petersburg’s Baltic railway station on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays at 6:55 am and offer 350 seats in 4 coaches, including 1 coach with soft seats. The return leg from Pskov to St. Petersburg will depart at 4:30 pm.Travel time is 4 hours.
Travelling from St. Petersburg to Pskov, the train will make one stop at Luga station, which will not require any timetable changes or postponement of suburban commuter trains.
