OREANDA-NEWS. May 20, 2008. Sodrugestvo holding (at present — Novoye Sodrugestvo Industrial Union) became the strategic investor of ZAO Empils on May 15, 1998, 10 years ago. Later the manufacturers of agricultural machinery: Rostselmash, KLEVER, Buhler also joined the holding structure. In 2004 Empils Concern was established which included paint and varnish companies in Rostov-on-Don (Russia) and Odessa (Ukraine) and zinc white factory in Rostov-on-Don (Russia).

Owing to investments of Novoye Sodrugestvo IU, the re-equipment was carried out in Empils company, for the short term the professional and efficient team of managers was formed. Empils began manufacturing of modern competitive products and gained leadership in Russian paint and varnish and zinc oxide market.

The company was the first among Russian manufacturers to bring to paint and varnish market the brands that won great consumer popularity and took such prizes as Russian Mark and Brand of the Year /EFFIE. Empils also became the first Russian paint and varnish manufacturer to form nationwide distribution system, the first to begin expansion to foreign markets, the first to develop the network of regional trade offices.

Empils Concern is a holder of quality management system certificate of compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2000 standard. TUV Rheinland InterCert international expert agency carried out audit of Empils quality management system and confirmed its compliance with the standard. The company regularly undergoes independent certification audit procedure, confirming certificate effect.

By 2008 Empils has performed large-scale work on product portfolio development, which reached 1310 commodity items. In Rostov-on-Don and Odessa the products are manufactured under 10 brands, focused on different consumer segments. The shipments are made to customers from Russia, Ukraine, Belorussia, Moldavia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tadzhikistan, Kirgizia, Mongolia, Lithuania, Poland, Finland, Italy, Germany.
