OREANDA-NEWS. May 19, 2008. Major oil company Rosneft reported RAS net profit more than tripling y/y to RUB 65,057bn (USD 2,73bn) in Jan-Mar 2008 vs. a net profit of RUB 18,61bn a year earlier. Company’s sales revenues in the reporting period went up by 74% y/y to RUB 246,71bn, while pre-tax profit more than tripled y/y to RUB 87,18bn.

In 2007, Rosneft’s RAS net profit decreased by 24,1% y/y to RUB 162,021bn (USD 6,9bn), while RAS revenues went up by 38,6% y/y to RUB 816,3bn last year.

According to Industry and Energy Ministry’s report, in 2007 Rosneft’s crude oil output amounted to 101,68mn tons, which was the largest output among Russian oil companies.
