On May 16, 2008 the 6, 000 ton press has finally reached its full capacity following the required reconstruction and capital repair work in the vertical presses area of the forging facility. As it was reported by the head of the Mechanical Engineering Group of VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, all planned technical activities have been fully completed with high level of quality, reported the press-centre of VSMPO-AVISMA.

Special attention was paid to the complex actions aimed to ensure technical control of the mechanisms and hydraulic systems working under high pressure and enhancement of safe operation standards.

Launching of the 106 press shall enable the plate, sheet, bar and rotor grade billet manufacturing facilities to work to their full capacity. This will also help VSMPO to overcome in the nearest future some of the difficulties associated with the delivery of the above range of products to our customers.
