OREANDA-NEWS. On May 19-21, 2008 VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation shall participate in the 5th International Conference  "Ti – 2008 in CIS", which will be held by “Titanium” Association in St Petersburg, reported the press-centre of VSMPO-AVISMA.

In 2007 a similar conference in Yalta hosted about 300 titanium specialists from 18 countries worldwide, with even greater number of attendants booked for this year’s conference. The Corporation is one of the five official sponsors of the Conference.

The Conference will focus on the following basic topics: titanium market review, industry development programs, recent achievements in the field of titanium metal study and metallurgy, etc.

VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, a unique Russian and world largest integrated producer of titanium shall give a summary report on May 19, following the Conference Chairman’ speech. 14 more presentations will be given at a forum by the specialists of the Corporation, including those prepared jointly with representatives of other Russian companies and institutions.

Additionally, a traditional annual meeting of shareholders of the closed joint-stock company “Interstate Titanium Association” shall also take place. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association is Anatoly N. Stroshkov, Director for Marketing and Sales in Aerospace Sector, who will head the VSMPO-AVISMA team comprising ten people, including D. Rymkevitch, a Leading Titanium Specialist and a member of the Board of Directors.
