OREANDA-NEWS. On May 16, 2008 European Bank for Reconstruction and Development President Jean Lemierre has visited the Slobozhanska Budivelna Keramika - Ozera (SBK-Ozera) construction ceramics factory in Ukraine's Kyiv region, reported the Official website www.kmu.gov.ua.

The business visit of the EBRD president to the factory was the first event timed to the annual meeting of the bank's management council in Kyiv on May 18 - 19, 2008.

The EBRD is a shareholder in SBK-Ozera, having 24,99% of the company stocks. In June 2007, the bank credited the company with USD 8,8 million for production projects. The total volume of investments in the enterprise will make USD 56,5 million.

Lemierre told a news briefing that many years of cooperation with SBK-Ozera fully correspond to EBRD's strategy aimed at modernization and upgrading of Ukraine's production capacities' efficiency. The joint project will enable the company to meet the growing market demand for construction materials, and reach European Union's high level of production quality and environmental safety standards through introduction of high technologies.
