OREANDA-NEWS. On 19 May 2008 was announced, that a new position has been created at Siberian Coal Energy Company (SUEK) - Investment Development Director in the rank of Deputy Director General. In April the newly created position was assumed by Alexander Chuvaev.

Mr. Chuvaev will be in charge of the organization of the company's investment process, large long-term investment projects, innovative technology and solutions development and use aimed at improving the efficiency of SUEK investment activity.    

Before joining SUEK Mr. Chuvaev was Managing Director of Power Machines OJSC.

Previously he was General Regional Manager of GE Oil&Gas (Russia and CIS) in 2006; Deputy Director General - Operational Director of OMZ OJSC (Uralmash-Izhora) in 2005-2006.

From 1999 through 2005 he held managerial positions with heat power and hydro engineering departments and corporate Center of Innovative Research of General Electric in the USA and Canada.

In 1992 -1999 he was involved in business development in Russia and CIS markets with Solar Turbines (Caterpillar) in San-Diego (US) and Gosselies (Belgium). In 1989 - 1992 he was Business Development Manager with GAT International Trading House in Moscow and San-Diego (US). In 1985 - 1989 he was involved in gas facilities construction projects in Tyumen Region managed by the USSR Ministry of Oil and Gas Facilities Construction. He started his career as a shopfloor foreman, then - a site supervisor and then - the Division Chief Technologist.

Alexander Chuvaev graduated from Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Faculty of Automation and Mechanization of Technological Processes, and held the position of Research Engineer of the Department of Welding and Nondestructive Inspection from 1983 through 1985.
