In the first four months of 2008, transshipment volumes at the crude oil and petroleum products transshipment company Ventspils nafta terminals Ltd, which is a subsidiary of the joint stock company Ventspils nafta, has come close to 5 million tons of crude oil and petroleum products, by reaching 4.74 million tons. That is 0.31 million tons more than in the period of January-April in 2007.

In the first four months of 2008, the structure of the transshipped cargos at Ventspils nafta terminals Ltd is formed by 3.7 million tons of diesel fuel delivered via petroleum products pipeline and by rail, 0.6 million tons of gasoline of various grades transported by rail and 0.32 million tons of crude oil and petroleum product cargos delivered by sea. More than 0.1 million tons of other types of petroleum products have been transported by rail.

Ventspils nafta terminals Ltd has transshipped 1 million tons of crude oil and petroleum products in April.

Cargo amount at Ventspils nafta terminals has increased gradually since 2007, when the company resumed receiving diesel fuel from petroleum products pipeline and started valuable cooperation with the company of international oil and gas consortium Vitol Group, which is a co-owner of JSC Ventspils nafta and Ventspils nafta terminals Ltd.

Ventspils nafta terminвls Ltd is a subsidiary of JSC Ventspils nafta. 51% of it belongs to JSC Ventspils nafta while 49% are owned by the Vitol company Euromin Holdings (Cyprus) Limited. The terminal renders transit services: reception of oil and diesel fuel via pipelines, as well as reception, storage and transshipment of crude oil, diesel fuel, motor gasoline and other petroleum products delivered by rail and sea.
