OREANDA-NEWS. The construction of the first hypermarket in the Gomel oblast has been launched in the oblast centre, head of the economy department of the Gomel City Executive Committee Natalia Gevraseva told reporters on May 15.

The hypermarket will be located in the Sovetsky district in Kosareva street of Gomel. The project is being implemented by Minsk company BelWillesden which has already constructed a network of hypermarkets Hippo all around the country.

The big trading centre is constructed by a team of Chinese constructors. It is expected to be launched in 12 months, Natalia Gevraseva noted.

In line with the project, the hypermarket will occupy about 8 thousand square meters. The trading centre will feature a wide range of food and nonfood goods including domestic products. The first Gomel hypermarket will include a restaurant, an exchange office and a parking.
