Mainstay Furniture Exhibition in Russia Gained Worldwide Recognition
OREANDA-NEWS. On 16 May 2008 was announced, that on May 13 the Crocus Expo exhibition centre welcomed the double exhibition of Euroexpofurniture and Interkomplekt/Interzum Moscow. This year over 1 100 companies from 30 countries exhibit their products at the area of 90, 000 sq m. The Forum’s business program is dedicated to the problems of the modern furniture market.
“Russian furniture is improving its competitiveness. And we want to fasten the process as far as the world furniture industry is rapidly developing”, stated Petr Peredery, the Director of the Department of Industry of the Ministry of industry and trade of the Russian Federation. “The Euroexpofurniture – Interzum Moscow duet has successfully worked for the welfare of the Russian furniture industry”, stated Valentin Zverev, the President of the Association of the Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises of Russia.
Anatoly Kochetkov, the Deputy Head of the Moscow City Hall Department for retail market and services; Alexander Krutov, the Moscow Duma parliamentarian; Calisto Valenti, the President of the World Furniture Confederation; Andrei Bobykin, the President of the Designers Union International Association; Wolfgang Krantz, Director General of Koelnmesse GmbH; Andrei Lapshin, the President of MVK and Aleksey Shaburov, Director General of MVK International Exhibition Company, wished the exhibitors and visitors successful exhibition and effective networking which will lead to profitable and long-term cooperation.
The ceremony was visited by Callisto Valenti, the President of the World Furniture Confederation. His visit proves that Russia is strengthening its positions at the world furniture market and MVK furniture exhibitions are gaining worldwide recognition. On May 15 Mr Valenti will address the presentation of the World Furniture Congress which will be organized in the framework of the exhibitions’ business program.
