British Investment Foundation Enters Ukrainian Real Estate Market
OREANDA-NEWS. On May 14, 2008 the British Investment Foundation Meyer Bergman entered the Ukrainian real estate market having purchased the retail and entertainment center Aladdin in Kyiv. Experts estimate a transaction at USD 60 million, reported the Official website www.kmu.gov.ua.
"The investment strategy of the Meyer Bergman is purchasing of finished quality real estate objects both in the capital and Ukrainian regions, therefore purchase of the retail and entertainment center Aladdin is a good product for the investment company to enter the market", Natalya Stelmakh, DTZ Deputy Director in Ukraine and investment consultant of the Meyer Bergman, comments.
The initial profit rate exceeded 10 percent. The Britons are sure about increase of the retail and entertainment center's profitability. The purchaser expects to cover a cost over less than 10 years.
Total area of the facility makes up 16 thousand sq m, the rent area - 10 thousand sq m. The main lessees are retail sale, catering and sports and entertainment enterprises. The center was opened in 2004.
