OREANDA-NEWS. May 15, 2008. At the end of April the Ceremony of Handing in Awards to corporate mass media – winners of the Interregional Stage of the Silver Threads – North-West 2008 Competition – was held at the Silver Threads Forum of Corporate Media Resources in St. Petersburg, and the corporate edition of OJSC N.W. Telecom , the newspaper SvyaZisT Severo-Zapada, was one of the winners.

Upon decision of the Board of Experts, the SvyaZisT Severo-Zapada newspaper was awarded in the "Efficient Editorial Concept and Content" nomination .

Over 20 corporate media resources of enterprise s and organizations took part in the Silver Threads – North-West 2008 Competition, including OJSC North-West Timber Industry Company, LLL UK Solombalales, OJSC Sevkabel- Holding, OJSC Ilim Group and other companies from St. Petersburg and Arkhangelsk.  

The SvyaZisT Severo-Zapada corporate edition has been published with the circulation of 10,000 copies on a monthly basis and is a channel of insider corporate communications, created in order to popularize the unity of corporate values and constants, to build up an intra-corporate environment and a single corporate culture and to bring information on the mission, strategy, news and events of the Company to the notice of the Company's employees.

The edition provides communication between regional branches of OJSC N.W.Telecom, shareholders and partner s of the Company . The newspaper is issued with Supplements of all the ten branches at different intervals. Besides, specialized issues are made that are dedicated to important intra-corporate events in the Company.

The paper helps OJSC N.W. Telecom 's workers learn about achievements of their colleagues and thus have an opportunity to exchange experience and opinions, while the Company's Management gets feedback via SvyaZisT Severo-Zapada.
