OREANDA-NEWS. On May 09, 2008 Chairman of the Board and CEO of Russian Agricultural Bank Yuri V. Trushin participated in the session of the Central Committee of the International Confederation of Agricultural Credit (CICA) held in Siena, Italy, reported the press-centre of Russian Agricultural Bank.

CICA is an influential world - wide association of financial institutions specialized in agricultural and rural lending. Russian credit Institutions are represented in CICA by Russian Agricultural Bank that, with 80% of its loans going to the agricultural commodity producers, is the leading credit Institution as far as agricultural lending in Russia is concerned.

The meeting was headed by the President of CICA, President of Credit Agricole S.A. Rene Carron. Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry Policies of Italy Paolo De Castro participated in the discussion panel. The main topics on the agenda were credit and financial support of agribusiness development in Europe and the global impact of the current international credit crunch.
