OREANDA-NEWS. May 14, 2008. OJSC “Company “M.video” (RTS, MICEX: MVID) announces the opening of the chain’s second hypermarket in Omsk, the capital city of Omsk region in Eastern Siberia.

The new store accounts to 3500 sq.m. of total space, has more than 20 000 SKUs of consumer electronics and digital products and as much as 7000 media products.

M.video group runs 9 hypermarkets in the Siberian Federal District – 1 in Krasnoyarsk, 1 in Kemerovo, 1 in Novokuznetsk, 2 in Omsk, 1 in Tomsk, 1 in Barnaul and 3 in Novosibirsk – with a total space of 24 000 sq.m.

M.video reconfirms its plans to open up to 40 new stores in 2008.
