OREANDA-NEWS. On 14 May 2008 was announced, that the 6th Moscow International Travel Fair will be held in Moscow in May, 17—20 / 2008. The MITF-2006 has been given the status of an official event of the Government of Moscow.

The venue of the Travel Fair is the Exhibition Centre "Gostiniy Dvor", which is located next to the Red Square and the Kremlin and is considered to be the finest exhibition site in the capital. "Gostiniy Dvor" is one of the most beautiful examples of architecture, and was built in the 18th century from a design of a celebrated Italian architect Quarenghi. The total exhibition area is 12 thousand square m.

The Government of Moscow attaches huge importance to developing the industry of tourism. Moscow has long been a visiting card for the whole Russia.
