OREANDA-NEWS. On 14 May 2008 Kazakhmys PLC noted the announcement by Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation plc that it does not intend to make an offer in accordance with Rule  2.5 of the Takeover Code for Kazakhmys.

The board of Kazakhmys confirms its intention to continue its stated strategy of delivering its existing major growth projects and building a leading diversified natural resources business in Kazakhstan and the Central Asian region.
