OREANDA-NEWS. On 12 May 2008 X5 Retail Group announced the beginning of a special that celebrates Victory Day. All Perekrestok stores in Moscow and Moscow region will offer the special to May 15, 2008.

During the period of the special, all World War II veterans and pensioners with Club Perekrestok cards will receive valuable gifts, including brand name electric appliances and holiday food baskets filled with wine and candy.

Yuri Kobaladze, X5 Group’s managing director of corporate relations, said, “For us, the words ‘veteran’ and ‘participant in the Great Patriotic War’ are not empty sounds. We constantly offer support to people who contributed to our great victory. This special and our long-term programs are a confirmation of this.
