OREANDA-NEWS. On 12 May 2008 was announced, that the city authorities of Moscow have elaborated a project of planning and development of Yuzhnoe Butovo urban district that stipulates the construction of dwelling houses of various numbers of storeys, the erection of social objects and the complex improvement of the district.

“According to the project, 37,500 among 43,900 square metres of the existent housing are to be demolished. Thereupon a new stock of housing construction in Yuzhnoe Butovo will equal 279,500 square metres,” a source from City Hall said.

The source added that 2 new schools, social objects and car parks for 300 parking spaces were also to be put up in the district.

The roads running through Yuzhnoe Butovo will be reconstructed.
