In connection with finishing the final stage of OAO RAO UES's restructuring as well as suspension of trading in ordinary and preferred shares of OAO RAO UES on the MICEX Stock Exchange from June 7, 2008 we inform you that, reported the press-centre of OTKRITIE Financial Corporation:  

As of 6 May 2008, OAO RAO UES’s shares, namely: 

- OAO RAO UES’s ordinary shares, State registration number: 1-01-00034-А

- OAO RAO UES’s preferred shares, State registration number: 2-01-00034-А

will not be admitted for conducting marginal deals and short sales.

As of 26 May 2008, the above OAO RAO UES's shares  will be excluded

From the list of securities accepted as collateral for conducting marginal deals and short sales as well as from the list of securities accepted for conducting marginal deals and short sales.

We note that the above changes can lead to a decline in the amount of security provided by you when conducting marginal deals and short sales as well as strongly request you to check your client portfolios for short positions in OAO RAO UES’s shares and timely close all short positions in the shares.
