OREANDA-NEWS. On May 07, 2008 Ukio bankas Rational Investment Fund has become the most profitable fund among equity funds managed by investment companies in Lithuania. This information was obtained after the analysis of public data of Lithuanian investment management companies, reported the press-centre of Ukio bankas.

According to the data of 6 May the profitability of Ukio bankas Rational Investment Fund has reached 7,5 percent over the last few years. ROE of the second most profitable equity fund managed in Lithuania was 2,6 percent.

To encourage clients to invest into investment funds managed by UAB “Ukio banko investiciju valdymas” until 31 July Ukio bankas will not charge IU distribution fee for investment units of this fund.

“During global finance and real estate crisis faced by investors stock market indices have dropped a few tens of percent over the last few years. In this complicated period Ukio bankas Rational Investment Fund managed to gain return on investment and that is a proof that we have chosen correct direction where not only investment was saved but also profit was earned,” said UAB “Ukio banko investiciju valdymas” director Antanas Suraucius.

According to A. Suraucius, Ukio bankas Rational Investment Fund operates globally, so appropriately allocated investment all over the world gave good result. “When mood in financial markets change so often it is hard to determine which regions will yield the best return on investment. Therefore, the situation being so unclear it is wise to direct the investment into the investment fund which invests globally and thus achieves maximum spread of risk,” said A. Suraucius.

At present UAB “Ukio banko investiciju valdymas” manages Ukio bankas Bond Fund and Ukio bankas Rational Investment Fund. The minimum investment into these funds is LTL 100.
