OREANDA-NEWS. On 08 May 2008 was announced, that an international holding CENTRAVIS, a manufacturer of seamless stainless tubes and pipes, opened a modern diagnostic consulting room in City Hospital № 4.

Now inhabitants of Nikopol, among whom there are more than 2000 workers of “CENTRAVIS PRODUCTION UKRAINE”, will be able to get a free comprehensive diagnostics of gastrointestinal disturbances, diseases of respiratory and cardiovascular systems. Each year City Hospital № 4 serves 44,200 people, of whom 9700 work at industrial complex Nikopol Pivdennotrubny Mill, and 4500 are the disabled and participants in the Great Patriotic War.

The first modern diagnostic consulting room is equipped with: a colonoscope, an ultrasonic scanner and a system for electrocardiography (EKG). Medical personnel of City Hospital № 4 passed training programme to improve the skills of work with the new equipment. By the grand opening of the consulting room its capital repairs has been completed.

Opening of diagnostic consulting room is the first social initiative of CENTRAVIS Corporate Charitable Fund. In 2008, the Fund plans to invest 1.5 million UAH into improvement of the lives of Nikopol inhabitants. The Fund was established in early 2008, its goal is to ensure a successful and stable development of Nikopol region. The Fund operates in three areas: modern education of the youth, social assistance to vulnerable members of society and medical care. Areas of activity of the Fund were selected after a detailed study of the social situation in Nikopol together with representatives of municipal authorities and the mass media.

We studied Nikopol problems connected to medical care of inhabitants, and among many of them we have chosen the most burning issues. Our next step to improve health care in the region is to create in children’s hospital a separate ward for diagnostics of newborns and infants, an incubator and an intensive care unit with acquisition of necessary equipment for their effective work”.
