The gas transportation system operator the State-Run Company UkrTransGaz transported 45,1 billion cu m of natural gas to the European countries over four months of 2008, which is the highest index for the whole history of existing of the Ukrainian gas transportation system, the company's press service informed.

The volumes of gas transit via the territory of Ukraine to European countries increased by 10,4 billion cu m (30 percent) against the same period of 2007.
