OREANDA-NEWS. May 07, 2008. Тariff rates for universal postal service (cards, letters, packets delivery) will change. The Federal Tariff Service issued the decision, reported the press-centre of Russian Post.
 
Taking into account forecast of socioeconomic development of RF for 2008 and till 2010, level limit of tariff rates for services of natural monopoly units, tariffs for universal service will raise by 17% in average. Last time it was held one and half years ago in 2006, made up 14,8%.

Тhe tariff rates are still socially oriented and don’t cover net price.

New tariff rates will come into force after the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation approves them and publishes in the correspondent state editions. Delivery of ordinary postcard is to cost 5 rub. 50 cop., registered card 8 rub. 00 cop., ordinary letter weighs to 20 g 7 rub. 50 cop., registered letter weighs tо 20 g – 12 rub.00 cop., letter with insured value weighs to 20 g – 40 rub. 00 cop correspondently.

Tariff rates indexation helps to reduce Russian Post losses of the service partly. This measure will improve financial atmosphere of the enterprise to modernize, improve quality and provide availability of wide range of modern services granted in the country.
