OREANDA-NEWS. On 06 May 2008 was announced, that Head of Indian Naval Forces observation group flag officer Sajlindran Madusudanan has met with Chairman of Arkhangelsk regional delegates’ meeting Vitaly Fortygyn.

Indian officers, civil specialists and their families live in Severodvinsk for the fourth year. Their task is supervising repair progress of “Vikramaditja” (former “Admiral Gorshkov”). Sevmash foreign partners arrange active work in the town and in the region.

Meeting in region parliament was also not occasional. Sevmash representatives are also presented in Arkhangelsk region delegate body. They are Sevmash Director General Nikolay Kalistratov and his deputy for military cooperation Sergey Novoselov. Chairman of regional meeting Vitaly Fortygyn also visits Sevmash and is interested in its problems.

An idea to arrange this meeting belongs to Sergey Novoselov, who is responsible for all works regarding aircraft carrier. Mister Madusudanan told how Indian families live in Severodvinsk, about traditions of their country. Vitaly Fortygyn highly appraised shipbuilders’ work as in spite of difficulties they do their best to develop cooperation between Russia and India.

They have to solve production problems also in Legislative Assembly. By delegates initiative 300 young workers came at Sevmash in 2007 from remote places of Arkhangelsk region.

At the end of the meeting V. Fortygyn and S. Madusudanan shook hands and agreed to meet on Indian ship deck.
