OREANDA-NEWS. May 05, 2008. The total daily production from the Salym oil fields in Western Siberia, developed by Salym Petroleum Development N.V. (SPD), has reached 120,000 bopd (over 16,500 tonne per day), reported the press-centre of Salym Petroleum.

SPD CEO Harry Brekelmans, commenting on the announcement, said: ”SPD has been increasing its daily production volume in a systematic way.

Half a year ago our total daily production stood at 100,000 bopd. Now we have raised the rate to a new benchmark – 120,000 bopd.

This represents another important milestone on the way to our goal of becoming one of the best operating companies in Siberia”.
