OREANDA-NEWS. On 06 May 2008 was announced, that summarizing the results of the international specialized exhibitions TUBE-2008 Holding CENTRAVIS gave its estimate of major tendencies in the tube and pipe industry.

TUBE-2008 exhibition was held in Germany (Dьsseldorf) from 31 March till 4 April 2008 and brought together all players of the tube and pipe industry worldwide. This year the number of exhibitors has increased more than twofold in comparison with the previous exhibition, that shows the growth of the market (more than 10%) as well as the emergence of new players, mainly from Asia. The competition, growth of market players make the exhibitors from year to year to invest extensively into the image, corporate identity, presentingmore and more interesting stands at TUBE.

Moreover, it is worth noting a number of other trends, among them are the shift in consumer focus on products with greater price stability, promotion of ferritic steel grades with a low content of nickel, as well as increase of production and use of tubes and pipes from ferritic-austenitic steel grades. According to analysts of international holding CENTRAVIS, a world manufacturer of seamless stainless tubes and pipes, the search and application of new steel grades, including those with low nickel content will be a major trend of the next 2-3 years.

CENTRAVIS explains the emergence and further development of this trend by two main reasons. First of all, significant increase of requirements to the quality and pricing for products from stainless steels. Secondly, the growth in raw material prices, especially for nickel, chromium. Permanent monitoring of world markets helped CENTRAVIS to to point out timely these trends and start intensive study of new materials from cheaper alloys, including steels with a low content of nickel.

In 2007 already CENTRAVIS mastered several ferritic steel grades with a low nickel content and began production of Superduplex tubes and pipes for the use in special media. At the same time the company continued to master gradually innovative materials with high resistance used in the oil and gas industry.

Thanks to the experience, CENTRAVIS team was invited to the conference Ferritic Experience, which was held on 2 April 2008 by an international specialized magazine Stainless Steel World.

During the exhibition TUBE-2008 CENTRAVIS stand was visited daily by more than 20 representatives of corporate clients. For the first time, since the international launch of the new brnd CENTRAVIS in September 2007, the company gathered together and introduced to each other the heads of its trading companies from Ukraine, Russia, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and the United States.

Profile of TUBE-2008: raw materials, equipment for the production of tubes and pipes, production technologies, measuring and control equipment, testing equipment and so on. Traditionally the exhibition is attended by professionals representing various industries, including metallurgy, automotive, construction, energy, oil and gas, and chemical industries. This year the exhibition TUBE 2008 was carried out simultaneously with WIRE 2008 (International Exhibition of cable and wire), which literally turned Dьsseldorf into a large-scale professional forum of metallurgical industry.
