OREANDA-NEWS. May 5, 2008. Rosenergoatom Concern has received insurance compensation worth 1.7mln RUR for an insured event at Balakovo Nuclear Power Plant.

The oil pump of one of the turbines of the plant was switched off on Sept 11 2006 following a short circuit in the stator frame. As a result, the plant was forced to stop the turbine for repair and to replace the engine of the pump.

The Concern applied for insurance compensation.

SOGAZ OJSC and ESCO OJSC acted as insurers.

Atomic Insurance Broker OJSC (Atombroker) organized the payment of the compensation.
