Moscow Authorities Will Invest USD 1 Billion for Road Construction
OREANDA-NEWS. On 05 May 2008 was announced, that the city authorities of Moscow are to invest more than \\$1 billion in the construction, reconstruction and renovation of the roads in the Russian capital in 2008.
“The Moscow City Government’s order approved the list of the highways for general use which are under construction, reconstruction and renovation at the expense of the municipal budget and a subsidy from the federal budget in 2008,” a source from the city administration of Moscow said and added that the list contained 8 objects.
According to the source, the appropriated funds will be used for building the arterial highway Veshnyaki-Lyubertsy from Proektiruemy Proezd 300 to Bolshaya Kosinskaya Street, the intersection of Leningradskoe Highway and Golovinskoe Highway, the intersection of Pyatnitskoe Highway and Mitinskaya Street.
This money is also to be spent on the reconstruction of the overpass at the intersection of Varshavskoe Highway and the Kursk line of the Moscow Railways, the reconstruction of Varshavskoe Highways on the section from the MKAD to Shcherbinka urban district and the reconstruction of the Krestovskie overpasses on Mira Prospekt through the lines of the Moscow Railways and the Oktyabrskaya Railways.
The official added that the funds would be used for building the sections of Krasnopresnensky Prospekt from the MKAD to Marshala Zhukova Prospekt and from Zhivopisnaya Street to 3rd Silikatny Proezd.
