OREANDA-NEWS. On 05 May 2008 was announced, that the Networks Management Centre of Kurskenergo branch of IDGC of Centre started performance of operational functions. Now NMC not only carries out control over the status of 0.4-110 kV electric networks which are on the balance of the company, but also provides operative management by the equipment and devices of 110 kV "Volokno" substation which had been earlier carried out by the operational personnel of the Central Electric Networks industrial branch.

NMC started performing operational functions soon after the commission headed by Dmitry Pankov, Director For Operation and Repairs of IDGC of Centre, with participation of Dmitry Gvozdev, Director for Dispatching Management Technologies Development of Operational Dispatch Administration branch of JSC SO-UES, checked up readiness of the NMC for performance of operational functions and signed the corresponding certificate.

'With creation of the NMC, there appeared an opportunity of more precise control over and coordination of operative management by the distribution network complex,' Deputy General Director - Director of Kurskenergo branch of IDGC of Centre Aleksandr Pilyugin said. 'It is important that the work of dispatching divisions of the company will be brought to the uniform standard, and, consequently, the quality of preparation of operational personnel will improve. Today we have made only the first step - redistribution of functions of operative management inside the company. In the further, after performance of technical requirements according to the Target Model Of Acquisition Of Commands And Organization Of Liaison Channels, Transfer Of Telemetering Information Between Dispatch Offices, Networks Management Centre And Substations, the amount of objects of the operative management will increase.  

The Networks Management Centre of Kurskenergo was created with application of modern technologies of dispatch management, such as video wall of the information display, operative information complex, ERP system on the basis of SAP R/3. The complex enables the operation personnel of the NMC to supervise operation of the equipment and to operate it in a mode of real time, and also to supervise the status of electric networks of Kurskenergo branch of IDGC of Centre. 

Large-scale work on preparation of the NMC for performance of operational functions was performed by employees of Kurskenergo branch of IDGC of Centre and experts of Kursk Regional Dispatch Service branch of JSC SO-UES. The main requirement was met - the main and reserve liaison channels with the object of management were created, transfer of the telemetering information between the dispatch center, Networks Management Centre and substation was organized.

The appropriate level of preparation was confirmed by the anti-fault training in interaction between the NMC operational personnel and Central Electric Networks industrial branch of Kurskenergo branch of IDGC of Centre held during the commission's work.
