OREANDA-NEWS. May 04, 2008. Komi-ROSNO branch has provided accident insurance coverage to the water tourism team of the Republic of Komi, reported the press-centre of ROSNO.

The Republic of Komi sports team is taking part in the annual international tournament Majoy-Rally 2008, held on the Chuya River in Altai.

The dangerous route section, where the competing teams will be fighting to the end for 3 to 4 days, is 700 km long and is rated as the most difficult one on the 6-point scale. This section includes a 15 km long canyon and the waterfall "Mazhojskij Kaskad", which constitute a most difficult part of water routes on the Chuya River. An obstacle so dangerous has drawn nine most gallant and courageous adventure seekers, accompanied by a team doctor.

The health of contestants has been insured for the tournament period by ROSNO. The insurance contract provides coverage against the following risks: partial loss of working ability due to an accident, and death due to an accident. The insurance amount is 100,000 roubles per insured sportsperson.
