OREANDA-NEWS. March 4, 2008. Ashkhabad welcomes the large international forum – the Education, Science, Sports and Tourism in the Epoch of Great Revival International Exhibition and Conference, which brings together the large world’s computer and interactive equipment manufactures, the foreign tourist agencies, the distributors and providers. The forum is organized by the Ministry of Education, the State Committee for Tourism and Sports of Turkmenistan and the Supreme Council for Science and Technology under President of Turkmenistan. 

The exhibition is to reflect the goals and objectives of the large-scale reforms as well in the humanitarian sphere implemented in Turkmenistan at the new stage of national development. Therefore, the sections centre on advanced computer technologies and modern training aids widely introduced to the educational process at schools and institutions of higher education in Turkmenistan occupy the central place in the exposition. As is known, on the instructions of the President of Turkmenistan the Ministry of Education established the close contacts with the well-known international companies to involve them in equipping the educational establishments in the country with up-to-date equipment and technologies. Among Turkmenistan’s partners – Lenovo (PRC), HP (United States), Kwazar-micro and Krok (RF), Prometheus (Great Britain) , El Holding research-and-production association (Uzbekistan).

The exhibition presents over two hundred thematic expositions on the natural sciences and the humanities studied at the educational establishments in Turkmenistan and learner’s guides, learning aids and equipment. The Turkmen and foreign printing firms, state-run and private companies will present the latest achievements and new products of printing industry.

The title of the international exhibition says that one of its main goals – to demonstrate Turkmenistan’s profound tourist potential and the very promising fields of its implementation. The visitors and, especially our potential partners will know about the popular tourist routes to the natural sites and the world-renowned historical and cultural monuments in Turkmenistan. The surprise for the visitors of the exposition is the Olympic torch – the attribute of the XXIX Olympic Games in Beijing, which arrived in the Turkmen capital and will be displayed as an honorary exhibit.

A scientific conference will be held within the framework of the international exhibition.
