OREANDA-NEWS. On 04 May 2008 CiG (Centreinvest Group), a leading Russian financial and investment services company and member of My Bank Group, announced that Vladimir Gusakov, Centreinvest Securities President, had also been appointed President of CiG and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board.

Alexey Gurin, CiG CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board, temporarily assumed the additional role of president following Igor Tsukanov’s departure in February. Reporting to Mr. Gurin, Mr. Gusakov will be responsible for generally overseeing, integrating and optimizing CiG operations as well as government relations – in addition to his duties as president of CiG.

Mr. Gusakov has significant experience working for major financial institutions in Russia. In 2004-2007 he was Deputy head of the Federal Service on the Financial Markets. Previously, Mr. Gusakov worked in different governmental structures such as Russian Fund of the Federal Property, Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, Credit Institutions Restructuring Agency, as well as in commercial structures as deputy director -- JSB Imperial and National reserve bank, State Investment Corporation, Moscow Inter-bank Currency Stock Exchange.

Mr. Gusakov is a member of National Securities Market Association Board, a member of Public Council of Financial Market Participants, a member of the Commission "Legislation on credit organizations activity and financial markets" of the Associations of lawyers of Russia. Mr. Gusakov played an active role in the development legislation for the stock markets as well as state and municipal securities.

In 1984, Mr. Gusakov graduated with a honors degree from Patrice Lumumba Peoples’ Friendship University with a diploma in Mathematics. He has a degree of Candidate of Science in Physics and Mathematics, associated professor. In 2003 he received the second higher education in the Russian Economic Academy with diploma in Finance & Credit. Mr. Gusakov holds a MJ degree of the Russian Academy of Public Administration (2008).
