OREANDA-NEWS. April 28, 2008. Domestic natural gas output went up by 1,% y/y to 178,06bn m 3 in Jan – Mar 2008, the Industry and Energy Ministry said.

Out of that, Russia’s gas monopoly Gazprom produced 151,07bn m 3 or 84,8% of total gas output, which is a 1,7% y/y increase.

Gazprom supplied 133,9bn m 3 of gas to domestic market in the reporting period (up by 3,2% y/y).

In Jan-Mar, gas exports went up by 24,2% y/y to 60,63bn m 3 , including 48,65bn m 3 to non-CIS countries (up by 39% y/y) and 11,98bn m 3 to CIS countries (down by 13,3% y/y).

Domestic natural gas output declined by 0,5% y/y to 653,108bn m 3 in 2007.
