Plastic Cards Will Be Used on Trains
OREANDA-NEWS. April 27, 2008. Credit Moscow Bank, together with Okdail and Global Express, has launched a plastic card payment system on the Moscow-Saint Petersburg (Nikolaevsky Express, Nevsky Express) and Moscow-Helsinki (Lev Tolstoy) routes, reported the press-centre of Credit Moscow Bank.
One of the system’s features is that train-based POS terminals can connect to the processing centre via GSM channels.
Visa, MasterCard, or Diners Club card holders who use dining cars can now take advantage of the new payment system. Passengers already appreciate this new and convenient service and use it often.
Credit Moscow Bank is planning to equip luxury trains with POS terminals on other routes in the near future.
