OREANDA-NEWS. April 28, 2008. Dagestan Branch of JSC “RusHydro” hosted a seminar dedicated to the automated maintenance and repair control system called “MAXIMO”, reported the press-centre of RusHydro.
 
Special seminar “Compiling of the equipment reference books for the information control system for JSC “RusHydro” production facilities” took place on April 14-16. It was held for the experts from the following Branches of JSC “RusHydro”: Dagestan branch, North-Osetia branch, Kabardino-Balkar and Karachaevo-Cherkess branches.
 
The seminar is aimed to reduce the time frame and to optimize the expenses on introduction of the information control system for production facilities of the company branches. On April 16-18, “Support for MAXIMO 5.2 information system” conference was held.
 
The following experts took part in the consultation: Mr. Usupov, deputy manager of Business-unit “Proizvodstvo”; Mr. Klochcov, chief of repair, technical modernization and reconstruction planning department; Mr. Tinacov, customer services managing director; Mr. Kaplatij, leading expert of repair, technical modernization and reconstruction planning department; as well as experts of technical and information services from every branch of JSC “RusHydro”.
 
MAXIMO 5.2 is a control system for managing funds and assets of enterprises located in geographically remote areas and functioning in a twenty-four-hour operational mode. At the first phase of MAXIMO system implementation it solves the following major issues:

performs inventory of assets, funds, reserves, machinery and tooling, providing order in their registration and calculation;

forms a library of standard works indicating needs in materials, human resources and special operations connected with high danger or equipment shutoff;

standardizes activity on regular technical checkups, repair works planning and resources management;

automates the process of determination the needs in spare parts, tooling and materials;

provides solid grounds for the costs’ calculation for works and needed resources, which easies the procedure of funds receiving.

The system accumulates statistic information gathered during the operational process; it improves the accuracy of strategic planning in maintenance and repair as well as in other important areas of exploitation.
