Transport Infrastructure of East Moscow Will Be Enhanced
OREANDA-NEWS. On 29 April 2008 was announced, that the city authorities of Moscow plan to prolong two lines of the Moscow metro: Kalininskaya and Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya, to build a new railway station and a bus terminal near Cherkizovskaya metro station at an early date.
All of this will be done within the realization of the architectural plan of development of the eastern administrative district of Moscow where the city authorities plan to begin building the transport infrastructure in the near future.
“Kalininskaya metro line is planned to be prolonged from Novogireevo station to Novokosino urban district in 2010, Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya metro line is to be prolonged from Vykhino station to Zhulebino area in 2011,” a source from the city administration of Moscow said.
Besides, Kosino railway station of Moscow Railway, the bus terminal in the area where the fourth ring road goes near Cherkizovskaya metro station and 2 kilometres of street railway from Ulitsa Podbelskogo metro station to Chernitsynsky Proezd is scheduled to be built in years to come.
“The development of the transport infrastructure of the district comprises the construction of the northern belt road on the sections of the MKAD up to Kozhukhovo urban district, from Kozhukhovo to the city boundary, from the fourth ring road to the MKAD, from Rostokinsky overpass to the fourth ring road,” the source added.
A duplicate of Shchyolkovskoe Highway that is to go along Losiny Ostrov national park in the area from Otkrytoe Highway to the road interchange of Abramtsevo with the MKAD including the construction of a tunnel from Uralskaya Street to Chernitsynsky Proezd is also to be built in east Moscow.
The program of reconstruction of the dilapidated five-storey housing of the first period of the industrial house building is to be completed within the realization of the architectural plan of development of the eastern administrative district of Moscow in 2009
