OREANDA-NEWS. On Apr 25 the Information-Analytical Center of Kursk Nuclear Power Plant hosted the 6th open regional scientific conference “Fatherland,” dedicated to the Year of Family and the 65th anniversary of the Battle of Kursk (WWII). Youths from Kursk, Kurchatov, Lgov, Kurchatov and Lgov districts attended the conference.

The conference consisted of four sections: “In the Wake of Military Honor,” “Literature, Culture and Religion of the Region,” “Cultural Heritage” and “Regional History and Ethnography.” The director of the Kurchatov Museum of Regional History Yevgeny Tsukanov said that the cooperation between the museum and Kursk NPP had significantly enhanced the prestige of such conferences and raised the interest in the history of the region.

The conferees visited Kursk NPP and its expositions.
