OREANDA-NEWS. April 29, 2008. Power Machines and JSC OMZ-Spezstal (a member of OMZ) signed an agreement for reservation of capacities of OMZ-Spezstal for the period from 2008 to 2010 to produce turbine and generator rotors.

Under the terms of the agreement JSC OMZ-Spezstal shall reserve capacities for production and supplies of steam turbine and generator rotor shafts and hydraulic shafts at the total price of 1 billion Rubles.

These semifinished products will be used by Power Machines for production of steam and hydraulic turbines and turbigenerators under the terms of the company’s contracts for Beloyarskaya NPP, Cherepetskaya SDPP, Kostromskaya SDPP, Lukomolskaya SDPP (Belarus) etc.

JSC OMZ-Spezstal is a traditional supplier of semifinished products for LMZ and Electrosila, Power Machines’ branches, but earlier all supplies were carried out for current needs of the plants. The agreement of preliminary reservation of capacities shall help Power Machines to supply semifinished metallurgical products for production process and JSC OMZ-Spezstal to plan its production program taking into account Power Machines needs.
