OREANDA-NEWS. On April 22, 2008 RAO "UES of Russia" has produced a number of new standards for the organization of operation and maintenance of its heating networks - "Heating Units of Heating Grids. Construction Specification. Standards and Requirements" and "Pipelines of Heating Grids. Corrosion Prevention. Construction Specification. Standards and Requirements", reported the press-centre of RAO "UES of Russia".

The Standards have been developed in accordance with the Federal Law On Technical Regulation.

They are designed to ensure compliance with the technical regulation requirements in the field of operation and maintenance of heating grids designed to deliver maximum safety and efficiency.

The Standards will be used by the personnel of energy companies, power plants, repair, and installation and other specialised entities engaged in operational control of condition of power facilities.

RAO UES believe that the new Standards will make it possible for the energy companies to improve the safety and reliability of power plants during the post-reform period while implementing a common technical policy in the electricity sector.
