OREANDA-NEWS. April 23, 2008. At the meeting between Aeroflot CEO Mr. Valery Okulov and Mr. Buldan Erdenebileg, managing director for MIAT (Mongolian airlines), a “Memorandum of mutual agreement” has been signed, reported the press-centre of Aeroflot.

Both airlines intensify their cooperation and good relations with their joint signing. At the moment, cooperation of Aeroflot and MIAT is based on the Interline treaty.

By October 2008 the following further treaties will be negotiated:

Codeshare flights: Ulan Bator – Moscow – Ulan Bator

Special Prorate agreement

Staff carriage on favoured terms

Luggage Check-through

Interline treaty on the use of the electronic ticket

Furthermore, the airlines intended to extend cooperation in the contexts of their frequent flyer programmes and cargo carriage as well as to prepare joint promotional programmes.

Current cooperation between Aeroflot and MIAT is regulated by the aviation agreement between the Russian Federation and Mongolia, the treaty on mutual agreement of the countries’ aviation authorities and the Interline treaty.

Aeroflot’s flight schedule of this summer will offer daily connections to Ulan Bator, MIAT will fly to Moscow twice per week.
