OREANDA-NEWS. SibCOTES has participated in the annual conference and exhibition Russia Power. This international forum was held in Moscow on April 15-17, 2008. Every year the key Russian and foreign companies involved in the Russian power industry meet at Russia Power. One of the features of this event is that the forum becomes a traditional venue where the power sector development within and outside Russia is discussed.

This year, Russia-Power-2008 conference was arranged in two sessions: Strategic Session and Technical Session. The representatives of the leading Russian and foreign design institutes and manufacturing companies made presentations on the most important and live issues related to power sector development and positioned their latest technical innovations.

Anton Milto, Deputy General Director for Marketing and Sales, SibCOTES, made a presentation Analysis of the current status of the Russian engineering market at the session Status of Russia's power infrastructure construction market. Having analyzed external risks and internal reserves of Russian engineering companies, Mr. A. Milto has made a conclusion that the implementation of investment programs planned in Russia is possible only if engineering companies improve the efficiency of their work. “To achieve this, we need the application of advanced technologies for project management, computer-based 3D design systems, and increase in the competence level and motivation of personnel, as well as experience exchange with foreign companies,” said Anton Milto.

At the first day of the exhibition the publication Control Engineering awarded the Tornado Modular Systems company with a prestigious prize Product of the Year. The line of remote I/O modules MIRage-N with dual-redundant Ethernet was nominated as a winner classified under Programmable logic controllers, programmable automation controllers, industrial PC.
