Georgian Premier Launched Service Center of BTA Silkroad Bank in Poti
OREANDA-NEWS. On 24 April 2008 was announced, that on April 15, 2008 BTA Silkroad Bank JSC launched a new service center in Poti.
The expansion of its chain of branches and concurrent development of the market of corporate clients and retail banking services are an integral part of Bank’s strategy.
Presentation of the service center has coincided with an official launch of the free economic zone and construction of a new port in Poti.
Prime Minister of Georgia Laro Gurgenidze and Minister of Economic Development Ekaterine Sharashidze have officially launched the new facility and indicated that BTA Silkroad Bank had accessed the region in good time in the light of the plans to bolster the port and the free economic zone in general.
General Director of BTA Silkroad Bank George Chiladze said at the opening ceremony that the service center in Poti is a pioneer in Semegrelo. In 2007 the Bank opened 4 service centers in Tbilisi and a branch in Batumi. Chiladze also pointed out that the Bank eyes expansion on the banking market.
