OREANDA-NEWS. On 24 April 2008 was announced, that at the session of the government the head of the ministry of power and mineral resources Sauat Mynbayev has informed, that the last winter for the heat power companies has appeared heavy.

They hardly managed to supply with heat and light of republic. The main reason of a problem is the out-of-date equipment: 60% of heat power equipments of republic are worn out. Besides in this cold season was observed the deficiency of coal and black oil. However, according to the minister, with the problem have consulted the heat power companies. With severe winter have consulted and in the capital. Today in city work two thermal power stations. For this cold season they have burnt more than one million tons of coal which charge annually grows. Also as well as its cost. Plus to all it is necessary black oil which today costs 40 thousand tenge for ton. The techniques here is worn out already on half, and all incomes of the enterprise are payments of consumers.

The General director of the joint-stock company “Astana teplotranzit” Aitmukan Zhumabayev has noted, that from 900 km of pipes which are under the control of the company, half demands urgent replacement.
