OREANDA-NEWS. On April 21, 2008 it was informed by the Bank’s press service with reference to the reliability rating of Ukrainian Banks, published in the Expert magazine, № 16 April 21, 2008.

Ukrsotsbank has the highest "A + +" rating. This is a positive forecast that in the short term prospective the bank will cope with the impact of adverse factors.

According the authors of the study, the number of banks which have received from the Expert- Rating RA the highest reliability rating (A), declined. If in 2006 there were 27 of them, then by the end of 2007 only 22.

"The banking sector has increased competition, leading to a reduction in the profitability of many financial institutions, especially those which have not yet had time to buy foreign investors and have not had access to cheap resources" - the authors of the study note.
