OREANDA-NEWS. April 23, 2008. IFC (International Financial Corporation) delegation consisting of Teclan Duff – Vise President for Industries Europe and Central Asia, Member of IFC Management Group, Shakhbaz Mavatdad – Regional Director IFC and IFC Program Coordinator - Aliya Azimova has visited AZEL Company.

The main purpose of meeting was supervising the results of the realization of the Azerbaijan Governance Project by AZEL JSV.

As we know, in 2007 AZEL JSV was elected by IFC as pilot company for Azerbaijan Corporate Governance Project (ACGP). Also, in the frame of program aimed to support of small and mid-size business AZEL received special fund for development of retail network and building of the new office.

During a visit IFC representatives acquainted themselves with a new shop AZEL-Toshiba opened at Nargiz shopping center (Fountains square) and new office of the company. AZEL’s effort was highly appreciated by IFC. As was noted, AZEL has fulfilled its obligations and utilized allocated funds accordingly to assigned tasks. In its turn Igor Yakovenko expressed thanks to IFC for provided support and assistance in company’s development.
