OREANDA-NEWS. April 21, 2008. "Uralkalii" OJSC informed the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) on executing Clause 4.1 of the amicable settlement between FAS Russia and "Uralkalii" OJSC by transferring the income obtained as a result of antimonopoly violations (49 mln Rubles) to the federal budget, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

Earlier FAS Russia recognized that "Uralkalii" OJSC violated Clause 1 Part 1 Article 10 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition" (abusing dominant position) and issued a determination to stop violating the antimonopoly legislation and transfer the income obtained as a result of antimonopoly violations to the federal budget.

The company violated the law by fixing monopolistically high prices on potassium chloride supplied to consumers in 2007.

On 12th March 2008, the 9th Arbitration Appeal Court affirmed the amicable settlement between FAS Russia and "Uralkalii" OJSC.

Therefore, "Uralkalii" OJSC effectively executed the FAS Russia's determination on transferring to the federal budget the income obtained as a result of the antimonopoly violations.
