The park called Volshebnik Khrustalnogo Goroda [Wizard of Crystal City], an analogue of American Disneyland, is planned to be created in the park named after Svyatoslav Fyodorov located near Yerevan cinema, a press service of the prefecture of the northern administrative district of Moscow said.
A project of the complete reconstruction of the park set to become “Moscow’s reply to American Disneyland” is being currently elaborated by the order of Yury Khardikov, prefect of the northern administrative district of Moscow.
According to the pre-project decisions, the area of Volshebnik Khrustalnogo Goroda Park will embody a dreamland where the main character of the tale lives. It is a prototype of the famous surgeon and ophthalmologist Svyatoslav Fyodorov who helped people to see the world what it is by means of the magic crystalline lens.
The prefect has already forwarded an appeal to Writers’ Union of Russia asking to support the initiative and to write “a crystal tale” for small Muscovites and their parents.
“It [the tale] embodied in the sculptures and attractions will bring joy both to children and adults,” Mr Khardikov said.
