OREANDA-NEWS. On 21 April 2008 was announced, that in March PrivatBank has attracted the syndicated loan in the amount of USD200m. The mandated organizers of the syndicated loan were BayernLB, The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi and UniCreditGroup (via Bank Austria Creditanstalt AG and Bayerische Hypo-und-Vereinsbank AG).

 The credit rate of the one-year loan, LIBOR+0.75%, is the ever lowest borrowing one for Ukrainian bank. The agreed price level will be a new benchmark at further syndicated loans of Ukrainian banks.

The syndicate was launched on February 5th 2008 and was finalized in the midst of the March, after the total amount of applications reached USD200m. The syndicate caused a great market interest of foreign banks. The loan raised by PrivatBank obviously proves that, despite complicated situation in global financial markets, the recognized leader of Ukrainian banking receives the deserved confidence and support from foreign banks.

The sums attracted by the bank will be utilized for financing export and import operations of its clients. The largest banks from USA, Asia and Europe participated in the syndicate.
