OREANDA-NEWS. April 18, 2008. Within the framework of preparation to construction of steel-rolling complex objects OAO "Тulachermet" has been visited by representatives of the German company "SMS Demag". During a meeting there have been discussed some essentials of placement of constructions of a steel-rolling production complex on a platform of " Тulachermet ". There has been considered a number of the technical questions, concerning steel-smelting bey, continuous moulding bey, preparation and rolling bey with use of rolling mill "Stekkel", productivity and assortment of turned out products (at the first stage - slabs, at the second one - rolled steel). Cooperation with machine-building concern "SMS Demag" specializing in manufacturing and installation of the steel-rolling equipment for the metallurgical enterprises has begun at the end of 2007 when the company has offered services on designing of a complex and delivery of the necessary equipment. The project "Steel" provides construction at JSC " Тulachermet " of the steel-rolling complex based on technology of converter manufacture of steel and liquid pig-iron, for manufacturing of about 2,5 million tons of slabs and hot rolled steel with applying of the advanced technology and equipment.
