OREANDA-NEWS. On 18 April 2008 was announced, that during the period from December 2007 to April 2008 the Novomskovsk enterprise OJSC MCC EuroChem will provide Tula agricultural producers with mineral fertilizers at the amount over 54 thousand tons at fixed prices significantly lower than the stock-exchange prices.

The agreement for supplies of products was concluded already at the end of the previous year at the meeting of the management of the Tula Region, OJSC MCC EuroChem and GUP TO “Tula State Agricultural Center”. At the meeting an agreement was achieved on support of the strategy of the company OJSC MCC EuroChem as regard to development of the distribution network and prices, volumes and terms of supply of mineral fertilizers to Tula agricultural producers for execution of spring field works were also agreed upon.

According to the director of the department of agriculture of the Tula Region Sergey Kitaev this year in the Tula Region total planted area under agricultural crops will be increased by 27.6 thousand hectares. Within the framework of the agreement EuroChem planned to ship through GUP TO “Tula State Agricultural Center” 19 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers for needs of agricultural producers however understanding growing needs of the region the Company increased shipment volumes by 70% up to 32344 tons. The other products were realized through the distribution center of EuroChem in the Tula Region.

It shall be especially noted that the company EuroChem took the decision on freezing of prices for mineral fertilizers under the first of June of the current year for the purpose of support of domestic agriculture and ensuring of normal run of spring field works in 2008 and increase of volumes of supplies took place also at the “frozen” prices.
